Bob Mould- Silver Age

Ray has been entering all of these online contest lately. He is convinced that he is going to win $50,000 from HGTV and he has a good point, someone has to win.
So last week I got a text from him- We won Bob Mould tickets. Holla
Not the dream kitchen that he had in mind but still awesome.
We were planning on going to this show anyway so now we just saved 50 bucks. I now also have faith that people DO win contests and have stopped (almost entirely) making fun of Ray for his contest entering habit.

So anyway if you don't know Bob Mould you should def check him out. His newest album Silver Age came out today. And a really good read is his autobiography See a Little Light. I can't wait to see him live next week. The last time we saw him, he was so loud that my ears didn't stop ringing for days.

Wish List

Ray has a two pairs of Doc Martens and it makes me very jealous. One of the pairs he used to shovel snow before he got a proper pair of snow boots. I don't have snow boots or Doc Martens. No snow boots because shoveling snow is a BOYS job. No Docs because there was no way that my mom would have bought me $120 boots when I was in middle school/high school. So 10+ years later I still want them... and they are officially added to the to the wish list.

So I was on the local news today. About local peacocks.

My friend Steph is a reporter and I made the mistake of telling her at H's party that we have these awful feral peacocks in our neighborhood and that I was starting a petition to have them removed.

Don't ever tell a reporter about something unless you don't mind if it ends up on the news.
So Steph texted and call for a week. Them told me she was doing the story but didn't really have anything and she really needed my help.

My tombstone will read- Here lies Nicolette, she was a very good friend.

So I did the interview. Felt like an idiot. But helped a friend out. And hopefully will be getting my peafowl removed. Win-Win.

Plus I finally got to see the guy who used to own the peacocks. Frank. Whoaaaa mama... They don't call them crickabillies for nothing.

By way the way those peacocks in the picture were on my driveway. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Not India.

30 Day One

Trying a little something new.
Setting some goals.
Sharing some thoughts.
And playing outside a little bit more.

I am really good at being a part of a system or a team.
But I don't shine very well by myself.
I get self conscious very easy.
I don't like to hear my voice even if it is written down and I am reading it.
But I am going to try.

Thirty day one
