Life Lesson for Susie

I am taking an Illustrator class.
This is one of the assignments.
We were asked to make a typography poster.
I used my mother's favorite (and my least favorite) quote.
I think that I am going to do it in a series and then give it to her as a present.

#2 Parisian Carousel

From this-

There are carousels everywhere in Paris.
They just add to the magical place that Paris is.
The top is going to be a note card.
I think that it would look super sweet framed in a little ones room too.

Luna #1

A friend and I were recently talking about Photoshop, well really all of Adobe's programs. We discussed how there are so many things that you can do with the Adobe suite and how all of the choices can be super overwhelming.

After that conversation I made a challenge to myself to start trying new techniques out. And then post the images and projects here, instead taking up space, saved on my computer.

"They" say if you want to become a writer that you need to write and read. Everyday. So this is my exercise in the design world.

I do not want to be overzealous. I will not say that I will post an image or design everyday. I have two kids. I would never be able to do that.  I do need to hold myself accountable though. So once a week is the goal. So here is Luna, #1.

Bob Mould- Silver Age

Ray has been entering all of these online contest lately. He is convinced that he is going to win $50,000 from HGTV and he has a good point, someone has to win.
So last week I got a text from him- We won Bob Mould tickets. Holla
Not the dream kitchen that he had in mind but still awesome.
We were planning on going to this show anyway so now we just saved 50 bucks. I now also have faith that people DO win contests and have stopped (almost entirely) making fun of Ray for his contest entering habit.

So anyway if you don't know Bob Mould you should def check him out. His newest album Silver Age came out today. And a really good read is his autobiography See a Little Light. I can't wait to see him live next week. The last time we saw him, he was so loud that my ears didn't stop ringing for days.
